It’s Time to Vote for Our July U-Pick Sewing Project!

It’s July already and I’m having fun with summer sewing, are you? This month (as usual), I’m going to let you vote to help me decide what my next free sewing pattern will be.

By the way check out my 20+ Free Summer Sewing Patterns here.

Maybe you’ve noticed that I don’t include quilt patterns in the voting, and that’s because I love sewing quilts so much that I always have one or two in the works anyway! So hopefully this month I’ll be able to share a new quilt pattern as well as a pattern for this U-Pick Project too. You can find all my free quilt patterns here, in case you were wondering.

Now, let me try to prevent any confusion. The three project ideas that I will share for you to vote on are things that I haven’t made yet. You get to vote on your favorite and then I’ll sew up the most popular idea! It is inevitable that every month someone will email me asking where the tutorial is for one of the projects that didn’t win.

Even though I love all three projects and really want to make them all, I know I won’t have time. YOU get to tell me which one to make by voting. So which project do you want me to reverse engineer, re-design, and sew for you this month? Show me by voting for it!

In case you didn’t see the free pattern, last month’s DIY Car Visor Organizer turned out fabulous! I really love using mine AND hearing from my readers about all the ones you are making too (tell me in the comments).

If you want, check out ALL of the U-Pick Winning Projects HERE.

But I know what you really came here for is to vote… so let’s get on with picking our next sewing project!

Already this summer, 2 kids close to me (my 15 year old son and my 13 year old niece) played so hard they broke something and needed a sling. The slings provided by the hospital were super cheap and ugly. It would have been so nice to have a better sling that I made myself. If I make a pretty sling like this and share the pattern with you, my design would include at least one pocket for a phone or maybe some cards or cash.

Would you vote for it?

Recently a friend shared with me that she wanted to sew some bowl cozies. I realized that I have never shared a bowl cozy pattern with you. I know there are other patterns out there, but not one from ME! If I were to sew one and then share a pattern for a bowl cozy, I think I would use this one as my inspiration. I really like the hanging loop and the nice big flaps for carrying a hot bowl.

What do you think? Will it get your vote?

And lastly, how about a new cross body bag??? This medium sized one would make a lovely purse or day tripper handbag.

Here are the things I like about it:

  • There’s a slip pocket on one side and a zippered pocket on the other side.
  • It has an inset zipper.
  • The strap is adjustable and attached with rectangular rings.
  • There are interior pockets too.

Are you going to make this summer bag win the vote?

The poll to vote is below…

What Sewing Project Do You Want Me to Make and Then Show You How?

Whatever project wins, I’ll be sewing my own  version and then giving you a tutorial soon after that.

Next Monday voting will be closed and I’ll announce the winner. Then I’ll get started sewing it up. Make sure you sign up for my free newsletter so you don’t miss the free tutorial.

xoxo,
