Top 10 Most Used Travel Purchases on Amazon + PRIME DAY Deals!

Throughout my travels, I’ve purchased a great amount of travel products which all held the promise of making my trips easier or more enjoyable in some way. While some didn’t pass the test, there are several that did but it doesn’t necessarily mean I bring them along with me every time I travel. However, keep reading to discover my top 10 most used (and most loved) travel purchases from Amazon that I take with me on every single trip!

Also, it’s Prime Day today and tomorrow which means many of these items are currently discounted. However, whether you read this in the next 48 hours or not, I highly recommend buying these products for your next trip as I believe they are essential and always a great price…

#1 Portable Handheld Steamer

There’s nothing worse than packing your suitcase to perfection, and saving room by rolling your clothes, only to arrive at your destination and find your favorite pieces are wrinkled. Let’s face it, not every item of clothing we own is wrinkle-free so this is bound to happen. And even if it’s just a wrinkle or two, if you’re heading to a wedding or special event, you want to look your best. This is my favorite portable, handled clothing steamer that is both compact and lightweight. It’s no bigger than your average hair dryer, but foldable too! And don’t be fooled by the small size, it’s still powerful and does the job perfectly. Plus, there’s a 1 year warranty so you really can’t go wrong.

#2 Apple AirTag – 4 Pack

Summer travel right now is absolutely crazy and we’ve all heard the horror stories of lost baggage. In order to have more peace of mind, I place an Apple AirTag in my suitcase and I suddenly feel more in control if something goes wrong. You can then track your bag via the “Find My…” app on your iPhone. Airlines have said these are absolutely safe to use. Also, I recommend using these for more than just your suitcases. Anything important that you fear losing like keys or a wallet, just pop these inside (or get the AirTag Leather Key Ring too) and you’ll feel much better and safer… which is priceless!

#3 Travel Pill Box Organizer

While a daily vitamin pillbox is essential for your everyday pills and vitamins, I also love having these travel pill box organizers. They are the perfect, compact size and hold a lot more than you think. So if you’re someone who likes to travel with a mini pharmacy (Tylenol, Advil, Benadryl, etc.), these are perfect to use for any extra medications. In other words, there’s no need to bring all of those plastic bottles that take up too much room. They even provide labels so you can stay organized.

#4 Makeup Bag with Waterproof Brush Holder

Out of all the makeup bags I’ve owned, this is my go-to one for travel as it’s the perfect size for all my essentials. What really sold me is the convenient brush holder attached on the bottom in a separate compartment! The entire bag is waterproof, upgraded nylon material, vegan leather, and lightweight. It’s very easy to clean too.

#5 Mini Curling Iron & Straightener – 2 in 1

Anytime I find a travel product that allows me to leave some bulky items behind, I want to shout it from the rooftops! I always prefer to travel with both a hair straightener and curler, and this allows me to do that while saving much-needed space. Not only is this a fantastic 2 in 1 product, but they are also a mini size so it’s perfect for travel. They’re excellent quality too because of the ceramic tourmaline coating and they’re worldwide dual voltage so it’s safe to use abroad, and it instantly heats up.

#6 Voltage Converter & Worldwide Adapters

Speaking of voltage, it’s always a hassle trying to figure out which converters and adaptors you need for different countries. This products takes away that confusion as it’s universal with multiple, worldwide adapters. It also acts as a mini power strip with 3 different standard outlets (that are perfect for hair styling products) and also 4 USB charging ports.

#7 Kindle Paperwhite

If you’re like me and find reading an enjoyable way to pass the time on long flights or train rides, then I highly recommend a Kindle Paperwhite. This is definitely my favorite e-reader as I find Amazon has the best prices for e-books anyway, plus it’s ultra lightweight, with an auto-adjusting front light and no pesky lock screen ads like a lot of other e-readers. You can take this beachside or poolside too as it works perfectly well even in direct sunlight – no squinting required to read the screen! And while you do have to buy a USB-C charger separately, the battery life is insanely good. A single charge can now last up to 10 weeks! Also, check out this list of my favorite travel themed fiction novels you’ve probably never heard of.

#8 Extreme Pro Memory Card

If you’re an avid photographer or videographer, then you absolutely need one of these memory cards. You’ll never have to worry about running out of space on your camera again with one of these as they’re one of the largest memory cards out there! If you’re just taking photos, I’d recommend the 128GB or 256GB but definitely go larger if you’re recording videos as well.

#9 TSA Approved Liquid Toiletries Kit

I try not to check my bag on most trips so having TSA approved liquid travel bottles is essential. There are thousands of different types of kits like this, but I appreciate the variety of this particular one, as it even includes cream jars accompanied with a spoon, pipette, and funnel. The labels are also really handy, and I promise you these are very durable and leak proof.

#10 Disposable Face Masks

Last but certainly not least… face masks! While this might not be the most exciting product on my list, it is one of the more important ones in my opinion. I have plenty of reusable face masks that I take with me, but it’s always handy to have some disposable face masks on hand. Masks are so easy to lose or misplace that I keep these particular disposable ones in my purse or suitcase at all times. I find them to be the most comfortable disposable face masks, a perfect size too, and 3-ply so they’re very safe. Even though face masks are currently not required at most places, I do like wearing them on a flight because I find that I rarely get a cold or other illnesses that I used to be prone to on my travels. Plus, you never know when the rules might reverse so I’d stock up now with this box of 100.
